Turkistan Marathon
A major running event among the sands of Southern Kazakhstan, imbued with the spirit of the Great Silk Road.
The Turkistan Marathon route runs through the picturesque corners of the ancient city of Turkistan and its surroundings. The marathon course features a gentle terrain with a total elevation gain of only around 70 meters, making it accessible for beginners, intermediate runners, and experienced athletes aiming to improve their results.
Turkistan Marathon is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), and its courses are certified according to World Athletics standards.
The Turkistan Marathon is part of the TAN series — the first international running series of Turkic nations.

Starter kits will be issued on 24–25 October, 2025, from 10:00 to 20:00. The exact address will be announced later. No starter kits will be issued at the start area.
